Japan Summons is an isekai style manga where The country of Japan gets transported to another world or planet. In this world, Japan uses its superior technology to overwhelm the magic and fantasy tropes that are already commonplace there. Japan uses this advantage for diplomatic relations with the countries of this new world. The countries nearest to Japan think of Japan as highly advanced after just seeing their technology. Japan in this manga has to navigate this new world.
The story of the manga is written by Minorou and is best known for it.Spoilers ahead: if you would like to read this manga before reading ahead, you should. If you don't want to, enjoy anyways.
After Japan is transferred they send out a recon plane to search the immediate area for any information they could find. Doing this helped them find the country of Qua-Toyne. At the same time Japan had sent out an Aircraft carrier with diplomats onboard. This was their first contact with the humans of this world.
This was a world of swords and magic with a technology level similar to the medieval period. This type of manga is one of my favorites, having a power build itself up in another world with modern technology or politics. Doing this creates a natural leader in technology or politics. Seeing another power try to challenge the new technology creates an interesting situation
So far in the story there is a country that is built on technology in this new world, The country of Mu. Mu already has cars, planes and much more. After some digging, it turns out that Mu is actually Atlantis, and got transferred to this world just as Japan did.
This manga is a must read for anyone who enjoys stories like this. It may only have fan translations for now but I still think it's worth a read.
